The Client
Dank Arson is a new Youtube channel by Politial Activist Dana Larsen. The channel covers him creating crazy smoking creations.
The Challenge
Dana wanted a logo that was fun and friendly. He needed it animated as well as an intro to his show.
Getting the Right Look
I used a few photos of Dana as refernce to get the right look for him as a cartoon for his logo.
Upon approval, I sent to work on the typography and graphic elements.
Vectoring the Logo
I thought it would be cool to be inspired by gamers' and athlete's sporting logos and took it from there.
It didn't take long to get a look that everyone was happy with.
Animating Along the Path to Fun
Finally, I put it into motion with Adobe After Effects. I don't get as many chances to animate as I'd like. This was a great chance to exercise that skill.
