Sinbad the Strain Hunter is just about finished. It’s an illustrated marijuana storybook in which I made the art as well as the book design. So the last bits are little things like designing dropcaps, the back cover lettering, etc. This is all through the writer Dana Larsen though, who I did the art for his Hairy Pothead book on.
It’s looking great and I’m excited to see it go out in the wild. This was a long work in progress, I was working on this while also colouring the History of Cannabis in Canada book which was a huge project to completes. This Sinbad storybook though included lots of things that took me more time than I thought like character design and composition. It was tough at times, but totally worth it.
In the meantime, here’s another piece of art from inside the book. Sinbad working a sweat with a certain kind of terror flying above. I hope you’ll check it out when it arrived at a local headshop near you. Check out my other illustrated marijuana storybook Pothead Books for some other work by me.
I have more projects on the way as well which I’m super excited about. Namely, a marijuana board game. I’ll post more about that next week. I’m still chipping away at making this site something people can actually go through and easily see my art with. It’s all a work in progress though. I’d been involved to hardcore with projects lately that I thought I really should spend a bit more time and actually uploading some of the work I’ve so feverishly been working on.
Anyways, thanks for reading and I hope that if you hear anyone is looking for any kind of illustrated or graphic design work, you send them my way. Especially motion graphic work actually! I’m really enjoying that and appreciate any gigs I get that allow me to explore that more.
